Reminders Per Semester

Summer Junior Year

  • Say cheese!  Your picture will be taken the day of orientation for professors and clinic preceptors.
  • Don't forget your checkbook and vaccination records for orientation.
  • CPR and First Aid certification can be renewed by calling the Armstrong Center at 912-927-5212.
  • Check the Books and Blog page for used textbooks, patient care items and scrubs.
  • Scholarships are available to you!  Check the links under Helpful Links for official information.
  • Service-cancellable loans are available on a first-come, first-served basis.  Visit the AASU Financial Aid Dept. website for more info.
  • Be sure to keep your patient care notes and text for the Rising Senior Exam in the spring.  Also, keep your APA Manual for Dr. Gibson's Cross-Sectional Anatomy class.

Fall Junior Year

  • You, the Juniors, will be hosting AASU Day, which will include constructing and managing a booth with games and food.
  • Be thinking of community service ideas.  Each student is required to accumulate 40 hours of community service that MUST be approved by the department.  Click "here" for a list of previously approved community service organizations.
  • For Dr. Strickland's Radiation Physics seminar, it may be a good idea to incorporate a member from each track in your group.

Spring Junior Year

  • In February the Juniors will be hosting Grand Rounds.  You will be responsible for set-up, break-down and providing lunch for the Seniors, faculty and guests.
  • Rising Senior Exam at the end of the semester -- be sure you have all your notes from previous classes to study.
  • Go ahead and begin community service -- Summer Senior Year is very busy and it's a good idea to get a head start.
  • Get an early start on your Pathology Notebook for Dr. Gibson's class; it is very time consuming.
  • The Seniors have a Pinning Ceremony just before graduation and all Juniors are required to attend.

Summer Senior Year

  • Congratualtions!  You're a senior now!
  • You will have Senior orientation the same day as the Juniors, and you are responsible for set-up, break-down and providing lunch for the entire department.
  • Beware!  Fall financial aid will not be disbursed until after verifications are submitted when you return to class in mid/late-October.
  • For Dr. Strickland's Leadership class, you will need to pick a group for your project.  However, there are two sections for this class, so be sure you know who is in your section before picking groups/topics.

Fall Senior Year

  • The best is yet to come!

Spring Senior Year

  • Almost done!
